GO Team ABI!

by (9/27/2009)

The Alzheimer,s Support walk was created to raise funds for the research for Alzheimer,s. 6 ABI Students took off towards Bloomington, MN on a beautiful Saturday morning to walk the 3 mile trail. We parked and rode the shuttle to the walk with over 3,000 other people. There were teams with purple hair, storm troopers and free food. We had a great time, and are glad to have been able to be a part of something in our community. If you would like to be a part of it next year, please contact Jennifer Reyes.

Happy Birthday Stuart

by (9/24/2009)

Last week the second year students threw a surprise party for their class president, Stuart Anderson! Right after lunch the second years gathered in the music room, and busied themselves hanging streamers and blowing up balloons, while Stuart was occupied with a student's computer problems in his office. When the second year's vice president, Andrew Lucas, pushed Stuart in his office chair into the room filled with cupcakes, balloons, and his classmates, Stuart was very surprised! As a faculty member and student, Stuart is always working hard around the school. He stays busy with school recruiting, making advertisements, doing media projects, taking pictures, uploading new photos to the ABI website, writing school blogs, and occasionally helping students and faculty with their computers. He is a leader, but he is also a great friend with a servant's heart to many students at ABI, especially to the class of 2012. The birthday party was a fun and exciting way to show the class's appreciation, and the second years had a great time making another class memory! May God bless you Stuart, and may you have another wonderful year!

A Walk Over to Rainbow

by (9/20/2009)

Many times, students will often walk to Rainbow, the grocery store up the hill from ABI, to get groceries or enjoy the fellowship with friends. On Saturday night, a group of students walked together to the store for fun and fellowship, but the evening turned out to be spiritually uplifting as well. While sitting outside of Rainbow and sharing cake one of the students had bought, the conversation began to focus about the great things God has done in lives, and what God will do if His people pray. A student mentioned that the beginning of the Holy Ghost outpouring in the 1900's started with a few bible college students who had been studying Acts 2:38, and started praying, seeking answers. What resulted was a Pentecostal revival that swept the United States. Today there is a hunger among the lost, and as students we are preparing for revival. God is seeking people willing to dedicate their lives and pray; prayer is the foundation of any spiritual movement. In Matthew 9:38 Jesus told his disciples, 'Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest.' Although we enjoyed the walk, the cake, and the laughs, we were encouraged spiritually by each other that God will do great things if we dedicate ourselves wholly to prayer and His purpose in each of our lives. In the last days, God will have a church just as powerful as the apostle's day in the book of Acts ... and he's seeking laborers ready to bring in the harvest.
